Paul and Gene stopped by MTV's TRL Show today to promote the KISSOLOGY DVD, before heading over to be the Grand Marshals in the New York Halloween Parade.
Here are a few photos of Paul from earlier today. The top photo is Paul on TRL and the other photos are Paul right outside of the MTV Studios in Times Square.
Another great Paul show last night in Philadelphia. The crowd was totally into Paul and again he responded in a big way! Watching Paul laugh and smile throughout the night, it's hard to tell who's having a better time - Paul or the audience!
Paul will appear on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio show this upcoming Friday. The show, which broadcasts from Indianapolis (on WFBQ), is heard on 150 stations in 39 states!
Paul Stanley made a triumphant return to New York City Saturday night, delivering a powerful show to an electrified audience at Irving Plaza. From the opening of "Live To Win" to the closing of "Goodbye", the hometown crowd sang every song of the set, while cheering on Paul and his backing band! Feeding off of the crowd, Paul seemed even more relaxed and energetic then usual (if that's possible)! The New York homecoming was truly a treat for everyone involved - the audience, the band and Paul, himself!
He's back, and the makeup is gone! Paul Stanley of KISS will be in the Northwest November 10th, promoting his much-anticipated new solo album at the Showbox. Live to Win came out October 24th, but if you want to hear it LIVE, get tickets to his show at ticketswest.com or hob.com.
Paul kicked off his solo tour October 22 in Atlanta.
The voice and songwriting force behind such KISS classics as Detroit Rock City, Black Diamond, Hard Luck Woman and Tears Are Fallin, Stanleys career with KISS spans more than three decades and in excess of 100 million records sold worldwide.

Having spent more than three decades as the starry-eyed frontman for the rock group Kiss, Paul Stanley is among the most recognizable figures in pop culture.
These days, however, Stanley, 54, is hitting the road sans his signature face paint and seven-inch platform boots for a 17-city club tour in support of his just-released solo album, Live To Win.
Stanley, who plays at Rams Head Live tonight, spoke with The Sun last week from his home in Los Angeles to discuss his new project as well as several Kiss-related topics.
Live To Win is your second solo album, but your first since 1978. Why did you choose to do another one at this time?
I've always seen myself as the caretaker for the band in the sense that, if everybody was running off doing side projects throughout the years, then we might all come back to an empty dock where there was once the Good Ship Kiss. There were times when somebody needed to be bailing water, and I volunteered. It has reached a point where the band has achieved kind of an iconic status, and it's pretty solid. And there comes a time when you just have to say, "It's my turn."
Were there things musically that you wanted to do on this album that wouldn't have fit into the Kiss sound?
I really never thought of it like that. When I write for a Kiss album, I write for the strengths and weaknesses of the band and the musicians. When I do a solo album, I write the songs and then bring in the musicians that are best suited to play the songs. I think there are certain things that perhaps wouldn't be appropriate for Kiss. But I don't think this album is that much of a stretch in terms of songs as much as it is maybe sonically. The sound of it certainly is much bigger and broader than something that Kiss would do.
I must confess to not being the biggest Kiss fan there is, although I do own at least a third if not more of their sizeable record catalog. So when I saw that Paul Stanley was touring in support of his first solo album since 1978, I was interested enough to read the story but that was it. No plans were made, no tickets were purchased, I think I actually had lunch shortly thereafter. Chinese, to be specific.
A friend of mine called either later that day or later in the week, saying Paul was going solo on tour. He is a big Kiss mark from way back so I new this was up his alley. As it turns out, a stop on his Live To Win tour was going to pass through the Hard Rock in Orlando, Florida on the same day the CD of the same title was going to be released. Even more coincidentally, that was the same night as a party for his stepson's birthday. Knowing how much he loves Kiss and the members who bring the band to life, his wife suggested he ask me if I wanted to tag along with him since she'd be at her son's party (they have a great marriage). I figured what the hell? He was offering me a ticket in exchange only for driving to the show, about 50 miles or so each way. Let's see, gas at $2.15 a gallon, Jeep gets approximately 18 mpg, carry the four and divide by a left turn, and that comes to like something shy of $13. Looks like I owe him some more driving!
Since the show was Tuesday, October 24th, we would both be leaving from work and heading straight over to the Hard Rock. I usually work until at least 6 p.m., doors opened at 7:30, show started at 8 p.m., so we figured we'd get there when we could and if we missed the opening acts (if there were any), who cared? It was Paul we were going to see anyway. As it turns out, after driving over, parking, walking through the pre-park area of Universal Studios, we still managed to get to the Hard Rock, go through what little security there was, head up to the balcony, find our seats and chill, looking at the scenery before the first act started.
Pictured is the LIVE TO WIN promotional magnet that was handed out at the Allentown KISS Expo. About 200 more were given away at Paul's Atlanta show and we will be handing out an additional 500 magnets at the KISSOLOGY in store October 31st at Times Square VIRGIN MEGASTORE!
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Kiss co-founder Paul Stanley has released his second solo album, "Live to Win" -- 28 years after his self-titled extra-band debut in the United States.
But Stanley says he doesn't plan a similar gap for his next effort outside Kiss.
"I have no intention of waiting that long or anywhere near that long," said Stanley. "I would like to be in the studio within the next year, two at the most, and get to work again.
"It's an incredibly satisfying and validating experience to go into a studio without any restrictions and without any sense of having to take anyone else into account except myself. 'Live to Win' is absolutely how I think it should have sounded."
Kiss releases a new DVD, "Kissology: Volume One 1974-1977," on Oct. 31 and a CD box set, "Kiss Alive! 1975-2000," on Nov. 21.
Paul will be featured on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" tonight Wednesday, October 25. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET. To find a station near you or listen online, check out www.rocklineradio.com.
Some things in life are worth waiting for… Live To Win (New Door Records / UMe) is KISS visionary Paul Stanley's remarkable follow-up to his acclaimed eponymous 1978 solo debut. Expertly produced by Stanley, Live To Win is a glorious tour-de-force of powerful vocals, athletic musicianship, and tough and sturdy tunes, boasting several radio ready Modern Rock hits in the making including the anthemic title track, the soul baring "Wake Up Screaming," "All About You," and the climactic final cut, "Where Angels Dare," a majestic Hard Rock jewel penned by Stanley, Desmond Child and ex-Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5.
Let's face it, it would have been a cinch for Stanley to cobble together a bunch of KISS-sounding riffs to create his solo record. Yet to the artist's credit, Live To Win isn't an empty throwback mining past '70s glories, but instead resonates with a winning Modern Rock sensibility. And perhaps most importantly, it's emboldened by the hard-fought confidence of a man pursuing his own artistic vision on his own terms. While understandably proud of his landmark accomplishments with KISS, in listening to Live To Win, you can also sense Stanley's excitement and joy at being able to experiment outside of the parameters of KISS's Hard Rock aesthetic. He's clearly empowered by the freedom to explore his muse and do exactly what he wanted with the record.
Paul kicked off his LIVE TO WIN Tour yesterday in Atlanta with a tremendous performance that proved what we knew all along, Mr. Stanley doesn't need the makeup, bombs and fire to deliver an unforgettable show. Setting the tone with the opening track - "Live To Win", Paul never looked backed as he and the ferocious ROCKSTAR House Band tore through a 19 song set list. The relentless power of the music and the intense non-stop connection with the audience in the packed theater made this a spectacle of a totally different kind.
Performing songs from his entire career including tracks from both of his solo albums as well as KISS rarities - including the never before played "Magic Touch" and "A Million To One", Paul played with a renewed intensity of a man on a mission. Possessed, dancing and prancing around the stage while never missing a beat. Vocally, Paul was as impressive as ever, especially on "I Still Love You", "I Want You" and "Tonight You Belong To Me".
As roaring audiences at sold out show after sold out show will testify, Paul Stanley is only now in his prime while remaining the most underrated front man in Rock and Roll history.
Gene attended Paul's Atlanta opening show Saturday, after appearing in Birmingham at a KISS Fragrance appearance. After the concert, Gene visited with Paul to offer his congratulations on an excellent performance! Gene told KOL that he was proud of his band mate and thoroughly enjoyed the show. He also mentioned that the Fragrance appearances were going great and he was having a lot of fun meeting the fans!
Pictured is the actual set list from tonight's opening LIVE TO WIN show in Atlanta. The set list in the photo is taped to the stage near Paul's mic stand.
The first Paul Stanley LIVE TO WIN show is tonight at the Tabernacle in Atlanta and KISSONLINE is here!! Here are some photos from earlier today at the venue.
The top photo is the back drop for the tour. The back drop was designed by Paul and Tom Jermann - who did the artwork for the LIVE TO WIN CD.
The middle photos are the laminate and guitar picks being used on the tour. In the photo the picks are attached to Paul's mic - they are purple marble design with LIVE TO WIN on one side and Paul's signature on the other.
The bottom photo is Paul getting off the tour bus in back of the club. Doc Mcghee is on the right in the photo.
Paul Stanley is interviewed in the new Paul McCartney TV special (also to be released as a DVD) which will air on A&E Saturday, October 28th at 10pm.
The Show entitled "Paul McCartney: The Space Within Us" also includes concert performances, as well as interviews with such folks as President Clinton, Cameron Crow and Steve Jobs - all speaking about the influence of McCartney and the Beatles. Stanley can be seen during the first and last segments. Also, there's a shot of Paul and his wife in the audience grooving to the music.
Paul's LIVE TO WIN CD is going to be featured on sale in the BEST BUY circular October 22nd!!! This goes to millions of homes. Check your Sunday paper and buy the CD on sale!!
After all these years, after all the whispers and rumors, Paul Stanley has finally come out... with his second solo album.
"I've actually got two new babies now," the Kiss frontman chuckles quietly over the phone from his home in Los Angeles on a recent afternoon. One of them is little Colin Michael Stanley - born in early September to Erin, his wife of a year - who's sleeping in the next room. Which may explain why the 54-year-old singer/guitarist, a pleasant enough interviewee, is particularly subdued over the course of conversation (not that he's expected to shriek about "vodka and ahhwwnge juice," but c'mon!). The other baby he's referring to is Live to Win - a ten-track, 33-minute offering that's the first to bear the Paul Stanley name since he, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss simultaneously released solo platters on September 18, 1978, at the height of Kissmania.
The lastest issue of the Aquarian Weekly, New Jersey's Tri-State Music Source, features Paul Stanley on the cover! The issue is now on stands or visit their site.
If someone in my position is angry they need to have their head examined.
Is Paul Stanley joining the march of middle-aged rockers to reality television? Not exactly. But the longtime singer and guitarist for Kiss has enlisted a group of reality-TV regulars for his latest project. Stanley, 54, is on the road with the house band from the CBS series Rock Star , which in two seasons has yet to produce any -- but never mind. That's not the fault of the five guys who backed up the show's aspiring singers.
With "Live To Win," Paul Stanley's first solo album since 1978, the "Starchild" of KISS has not only delivered a terrific hard-rock record, but has also dropped a batch of fiery and incredibly melodic songs that will remind even the most disillusioned of KISS fans why they fell in love with the band in the first place.
It's a very busy and exciting time in the Paul Stanley camp! Rehearsals continue daily, right up until next Saturday's LIVE TO WIN opening show in Atlanta. The band sounds tremendous and Paul can't wait to hit the road and see his fans! In the mean time, Paul and his staff continue finalizing all aspects of the tour and like you would expect from Mr. Stanley, he is directly involved in every facet of this production.
We also just launched the full Paul Stanley web site - www.PaulStanley.com ! The site will start being updated on a regular basis later this week. Please stop by and check out the design. While your there, be sure to send Paul a letter!
Thanks to Dean Snowden for taking these new photos at Saturday's rehearsal. They feature Paul warming up on drummer Nate Morton's practice kit.
By Philthy Phil,
"...the problem with KISS recording is that the songs that everybody thinks of as the classics are much more than music ..."
He's the quintessential rock and roll front man, and according to Paul Stanley he's been the quiet captain of the ship, keeping KISS out of troubled waters. Now, after 33 years of KISS, Stanley feels he and KISS are finally in a place where he can make his own music, and do what he wants for a change.
Tuesday, October 24 Stanley's first solo album since the 1978 KISS Solos, "Live to Win" hits the stores, followed by a multi-city tour.
Here's my conversation with an American rock icon.
The KISS Coffeehouse in Myrtle Beach will host a Paul Stanley LIVE TO WIN Listening Party from 7-8pm today - Saturday October 14th. Owner Brian Galvin told KOL that during the event, the Coffeehouse will be giving away prizes and free samples of the Halloween Special (Pumpkin Spice), the newest KISS Coffee flavor!

Rehearsals are going really incredibly well and I think you'll all be blown away by the music and the setlist. If you've got a ticket, I'll see you there.
