My girlfriend and I were in London last weekend visiting a friend and as we were walking past Harrods shop window I did a double take - Paul Stanley's guitar was part of a window display! It was a bedroom scene with a model lounging in bed with champagne, glasses and flowers, silk sheets and lacy underwear and right there, propped up gently against the bed was Paul's cracked mirror guitar! I had to take the picture and send it just to show you!

Keep smilin'!

"As an art major and graduate of the prestigious High School of Music and Art in New York City, Paul has returned to his passion for painting, to share with you the deep emotions his art conveys. . . Paul Stanley creates purely abstract and emotionally charged compositions in which we are invited to experience his work as an object of the visceral… a state of mind detached from any unnecessary association with things or places tangible."

The Wentworth Gallery in Charlotte, NC. is hosting two art exhibitions by Stanley on Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Stanley is expected to make appearances on both days.

You can view Paul's collection of work by visiting the Wentworth Gallery website and clicking on the Gallery and then picking Stanley, Paul from the artist pull down list.

Hey Paul,

I wanted to take a moment and express my deepest and most sincere gratitude for you performing with us at the house of blues in LA for the Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. I had the honor of being in Bruce's band, on stage I was the one wearing the crinkled cowboy hat. Bruce was so excited about you coming to the camp and all of us in his band are huge KISS fans so it was a BIG deal for us all. When you stopped by Saturday to say hello to everyone and do a run through with the song it was amazing, almost a surreal experience.

Kiss goodbye to the glamour

2nd March 2007, 7:00 WST

Paul Stanley and philosopher aren't exactly two words that go together. But a conversation with the KISS frontman is almost like one big lesson in positivity - and just a little swagger.

He's feeling pretty good these days having released his first solo album in more than 25 years and its title, Live to Win, speaks directly to his positive thinking.

"I feel great about the album," he says.

"I did it for me and I'm really happy with it. Live to Win is about setting your goals, pursuing them without regard for what other people think. It's easy for people to tell us it's impossible but you go after what you want on your own terms. It's more difficult not to follow the path of others.

"There is nothing worse than trying to second guess what other people want you to do. I find that going my own path and making my own way is easier than going along someone else's. It's also more exciting. I'm a big believer in contributing to my own success. The harder you work, the luckier you get."
