For his highly anticipated solo Live to Win Stanley chose to sidestep the glitz and glamour that has epitomized much of his career, Stanley strips his emotions to the bone and adorns them with a melodic sheen on Live to Win. In doing away with the legendary bombast, what becomes starkly clear is that these songs about the power of the human spirit and commitment to not compromising ideals can rattle not only the walls, but also the heart and soul of the listener. "What I wanted to do on this album was sing about my life, and my life is not that different than anybody else's," he continues. "The truth is, what we all deal with in life is pretty similar, change the names and the story's the same."

Just came back from my guitar dealer, Just Music, in the city of Leiden, The Netherlands, where I bought my Paul Stanley PS 11 model. In cooperation with salesman Stefan and his crew we started off in August to get my model of this great new guitar. I'm thrilled and excited to have it in my own hands now ! Shortly before, I wondered if it really would happen, but this afternoon I got the message that I could come and collect it at the store. It's been worth waiting for it.

Thanks Paul and everybody at Washburn to make this wish come true for me.I'm really happy with my new item in Rock's greatest history and it's never ending efforts to stay so!

The first time I saw KISS, the show was held at Winterland in San Francisco, which just so happens to be located about two blocks away from the Fillmore. So in a way, and especially to me, it feels like I’ve come full circle with Paul Stanley, over 31 years after that first concert.

I have to give Paul (and the rest of KISS) all of the credit for turning me into the concert-going maniac that I’ve become, because it was at that show that I first realized what I wanted to do-not be in a band, but to just love rock music and concerts, and attend as many as I could.

In the world of KISS (music), there's no such thing as too much. While that line of thinking has served the band well for more than three decades, frontman Paul Stanley (music) isn't afraid to admit that sometimes, less can be more.
Such is the case with his latest release, "Live to Win," his first solo album since the eponymous KISS solo efforts were issued in 1978. Absent is the bombast, pomp and pageantry that marks his full-time band. Present are the sweeping choruses and lavish songwriting that marked the band's more memorable late-'80s and early-'90s moments, as well as Stanley's signature vocal tone and unmistakable style.
