Kiss leader holds his own, makeup or not.

Oct 19, 2006 | NEW TIMES
After all these years, after all the whispers and rumors, Paul Stanley has finally come out... with his second solo album.

"I've actually got two new babies now," the Kiss frontman chuckles quietly over the phone from his home in Los Angeles on a recent afternoon. One of them is little Colin Michael Stanley - born in early September to Erin, his wife of a year - who's sleeping in the next room. Which may explain why the 54-year-old singer/guitarist, a pleasant enough interviewee, is particularly subdued over the course of conversation (not that he's expected to shriek about "vodka and ahhwwnge juice," but c'mon!). The other baby he's referring to is Live to Win - a ten-track, 33-minute offering that's the first to bear the Paul Stanley name since he, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss simultaneously released solo platters on September 18, 1978, at the height of Kissmania.

Kiss Off, Paul Stanley Gets On The Road

Oct 18, 2006 | South Florida Sun-Sentinel
By Sean Piccoli

If someone in my position is angry they need to have their head examined.

Is Paul Stanley joining the march of middle-aged rockers to reality television? Not exactly. But the longtime singer and guitarist for Kiss has enlisted a group of reality-TV regulars for his latest project. Stanley, 54, is on the road with the house band from the CBS series Rock Star , which in two seasons has yet to produce any -- but never mind. That's not the fault of the five guys who backed up the show's aspiring singers.

With "Live To Win," Paul Stanley's first solo album since 1978, the "Starchild" of KISS has not only delivered a terrific hard-rock record, but has also dropped a batch of fiery and incredibly melodic songs that will remind even the most disillusioned of KISS fans why they fell in love with the band in the first place.
Paul Stanley Update

Oct 16, 2006 |
It's a very busy and exciting time in the Paul Stanley camp! Rehearsals continue daily, right up until next Saturday's LIVE TO WIN opening show in Atlanta. The band sounds tremendous and Paul can't wait to hit the road and see his fans! In the mean time, Paul and his staff continue finalizing all aspects of the tour and like you would expect from Mr. Stanley, he is directly involved in every facet of this production.

We also just launched the full Paul Stanley web site - www.PaulStanley.com ! The site will start being updated on a regular basis later this week. Please stop by and check out the design. While your there, be sure to send Paul a letter!

Thanks to Dean Snowden for taking these new photos at Saturday's rehearsal. They feature Paul warming up on drummer Nate Morton's practice kit.

PAUL STANLEY KNAC INTERVIEW

Oct 14, 2006 |
By Philthy Phil,
"...the problem with KISS recording is that the songs that everybody thinks of as the classics are much more than music ..."

He's the quintessential rock and roll front man, and according to Paul Stanley he's been the quiet captain of the ship, keeping KISS out of troubled waters. Now, after 33 years of KISS, Stanley feels he and KISS are finally in a place where he can make his own music, and do what he wants for a change.

Tuesday, October 24 Stanley's first solo album since the 1978 KISS Solos, "Live to Win" hits the stores, followed by a multi-city tour.

Here's my conversation with an American rock icon.

So, I give in...

Oct 11, 2006 |

After years of requests that I have my own website, I finally said yes. It starts now and it starts here. You will watch this website take shape and grow into the best source for up to the minute news and we'll do our best to keep it interesting and current. If there's nothing to bring you that's newsworthy, we won't post something. We won't post exaggerations or outright bull. You deserve more, even if it means getting less! I've got too much respect for myself and all of you.

Rehearsals are going really incredibly well and I think you'll all be blown away by the music and the setlist. If you've got a ticket, I'll see you there.

Now let's open the door and check out what's going on inside!
